• Dr. Shujun Wang, Vice Superintendent： Currently serving as the Vice Superintendent of Taipei Veterans General Hospital and the Dean of the School of Medicine at National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University, he possesses the ability to formulate forward-looking research directions and technology development strategies. With extensive experience in interdisciplinary industry-academia-research collaboration, he is well-equipped to enhance the efficiency of translating AI technologies into practical outcomes.

AI Medical Informatics Team

The AI Medical Informatics Team focuses on healthcare management, medical quality, patient safety, AI application design and implementation, as well as healthcare system integration. The team includes：

• Dr. Wei-Chiang Lee, Vice Superintendent: Currently serving as the Vice Superintendent of Taipei Veterans General Hospital and the Director of the Medical Artificial Intelligence Development Center at Taipei Veterans General Hospital, focusing on designing and implementing patient-centered AI applications, committed to promoting the integration of AI technology with medical systems to enhance patient care quality and safety.
• Dr. Chen-Tsung Kuo, Director: Currently serving as the Director of the Information Technology Department at Taipei Veterans General Hospital, with extensive background in information technology management and data analysis, demonstrating excellence in medical information system planning, implementation, and maintenance, dedicated to promoting digital transformation and improving healthcare service efficiency.
• Professor Hsin-Mu Tseng: Chair Professor at the Department of Computer Science, National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University, focusing on big data mining, artificial intelligence, and biomedical informatics, his expertise helps the research center establish a robust data analysis platform.
• Dr. Yu-Cheng Lo: Currently serving as an Attending Physician at the Quality Management Center of Taipei Veterans General Hospital and a PhD candidate at the Institute of Biomedical Informatics, National Yang Ming University, his research background will support the center in conducting in-depth analysis in data-driven AI applications.
• Dr. Yuan-Chia Chu: Currently serving as a Senior Engineer in the Information Technology Department at Taipei Veterans General Hospital, with extensive experience in medical informatics, big data, and electronic medical record standardization, making significant contributions to medical big data applications and smart healthcare system development.

Smart Healthcare and Clinical Trial Team

The Smart Healthcare and Clinical Trial Team specializes in clinical trial planning, execution, and evaluation, as well as AI technology research and application. Team members include:

• Dr. Hao-Min Cheng, Director: Currently serving as the Executive Secretary of the Smart Healthcare Committee at Taipei Veterans General Hospital, Director of the Teacher Training Division in the Teaching Department, and a Cardiologist, specializing in clinical trial planning, execution, and evaluation, actively promoting AI technology research and application, assisting with AI implementation in hospitals.
• Dr. Ying-Chou Sun, Deputy Director: Currently serving as the Deputy Director of the Medical Artificial Intelligence Development Center at Taipei Veterans General Hospital, with extensive experience in smart healthcare, focusing on the development and application of intelligent diagnostic systems, skilled in promoting the implementation of medical AI technology to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of clinical decision support.
• Dr. Chih-Chieh Yang, Deputy Director: Currently serving as the Deputy Director of the Medical Artificial Intelligence Development Center at Taipei Veterans General Hospital, with extensive experience in medical AI implementation, focusing on the development of intelligent diagnostic systems and the application of AI in clinical decision support.
• Dr. Shih-Hsien Sung, Director: Currently serving as the Director of the Clinical Trial Division in the Department of Medical Research at Taipei Veterans General Hospital, with extensive experience in clinical trial design and execution, specializing in the entire process from research design to data analysis.
• Dr. Kang-Ling Wang, Physician: Currently serving as an Attending Physician in the Clinical Trial Division of the Department of Medical Research at Taipei Veterans General Hospital, with extensive experience in clinical trial design and execution, currently assisting with the design and conduct of clinical trials.

Health Economics and Public Health Team

The Health Economics and Public Health Team specializes in public policy, cost-effectiveness research, cost-benefit analysis of AI in healthcare and drug development, and policy recommendations. Team members include:

• Professor Ming-Neng Shiu: Assistant Professor at the School of Pharmacy, National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University, former Administrative Deputy Minister of Health and Welfare, specializing in public policy and cost-effectiveness research, capable of analyzing the cost-effectiveness of AI in healthcare and drug development, and providing policy recommendations.
• Professor Yi-Wen Tsai: Professor at the Institute of Health and Welfare Policy, National Yang Ming Chiao Tung University, with research areas including health policy, healthcare resource allocation, and economic evaluation methods, specializing in cost-effectiveness analysis, dedicated to promoting health policies and improving the quality and efficiency of healthcare services.
